Technical Visit from Our Faculty Management and Academic Staff to ALKE Pharmaceuticals

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ) Faculty of Pharmacy organized a technical visit to the ALKE Pharmaceuticals on Thursday, November 20, with the aim of strengthening university-industry cooperation and reinforcing academic ties with the local pharmaceutical industry.

The visit was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Bilge Hilal ÇADIRCI. The academic delegation included Vice Deans Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatma GÖÇ and Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Serkan AVŞAR, as well as Head of Pharmaceutical Technology Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Nihat KURT, Head of Pharmaceutical Toxicology Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Erkan AŞÇI, Head of Pharmaceutical Botany Department Asst. Prof. Dr. İlhami KARATAŞ, and Research Assistant Buse TATAR.

 

On-Site Examination of Production and Quality Processes During the visit to ALKE

Pharmaceuticals, one of the sector's prominent establishments with its modern facilities located in the Tokat Organized Industrial Zone and its large production capacity, the faculty management and faculty members toured the production areas, R&D laboratories, and quality control units accompanied by factory officials.

During the inspection, it was observed with satisfaction that the company has successfully passed numerous national and international audits and implements quality standards at a superior level. In particular, the effective operation of quality management systems, the sensitivity shown to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and sterile production conditions were highly appreciated by our academic delegation.

In the general evaluation made within the scope of the visit, it was stated that great importance is attached to sectoral collaborations as a faculty, and the importance of observing the reflections of theoretical education in practical fields with such high standards was emphasized.

 

Message for Future Cooperation

The most significant outcome of the technical visit was the step taken towards developing a joint project culture between the faculty and the pharmaceutical industry. During the discussions, a consensus was reached on increasing internship and employment opportunities for students and implementing joint R&D projects.
