Hilal BACANAK, Research Assistant at Department of Pharmacognosy, has achieved a significant academic success by publishing the first Q1-ranked article of 2026.
In the study conducted by Hilal Bacanak, the anti-inflammatory and wound-healing potential of plant-derived bioactive metabolites was investigated through a comprehensive approach. Within the scope of the research, compounds isolated from the aerial parts of Plantago indica L. were structurally elucidated, and the in vitro and in vivo biological activities of the obtained metabolites were evaluated in an integrated manner.
The study was published in Plants, a prestigious international journal ranked in the Q1 category in the fields of pharmacognosy and plant-based drug discovery.
