Assoc. Prof. Mehtap Tuğrak Sakarya, one of our esteemed faculty members, has been accepted as a Working Group member of the international research network CA24162 – “AdResCanCER (Adaptive and Acquired Resistance in Gastrointestinal Cancers – Contemporary and Emerging Resolutions),” supported by the European Union COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) program.
The AdResCanCER Action focuses on uncovering the molecular foundations of chemoresistance, which complicates treatment processes in gastrointestinal cancers, and developing innovative therapeutic approaches to target this resistance. Bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines, this network aims to develop next-generation treatment strategies through multifaceted data production and evaluation, particularly in genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
Additionally, the Action aims to standardize research outputs, strengthen scientific data sharing, and expand training activities for young researchers. In this regard, AdResCanCER provides a robust and sustainable scientific collaboration platform across Europe.
The work to be carried out by Assoc. Prof. Mehtap Tuğrak Sakarya within this international research network is expected to enhance our faculty's scientific visibility and pave the way for new collaborations.
We congratulate her on this significant achievement and wish her continued success in her endeavors.
