Publication Success of Our Faculty Members in Q1 and Q2 Journals During January–June 2026

Academic staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University continue to add new achievements to their academic accomplishments through scientific studies published in prestigious Q1 and Q2 journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database.

A study conducted by Prof. Dr. İsa Gökçe and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seçil Erden Tayhan was published in Naunyn–Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology. The research focuses on next-generation nanocarrier systems developed for controlled drug delivery in the treatment of breast cancer.

In her study published in the Journal of Molecular Structure, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehtap Tuğrak Sakarya investigated the synthesis, enzyme inhibitory activity, drug-likeness properties, and cytotoxic effects of indanone-based Mannich base derivatives.

A collaborative study authored by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Erkan Aşçı and Assist. Prof. Dr. Arwa Mohamed Amin Mostafa was published in Forensic Science International. The research focuses on evaluating the relationship between ethanol and its metabolites in postmortem samples.

In addition, Assist. Prof. Dr. Arwa Mohamed Amin Mostafa published a systematic review in Nutrition Research, comprehensively evaluating the clinical evidence regarding the effects of vitamin E on cognitive functions.

Furthermore, a research article derived from the doctoral dissertation of Research Assistant Dr. Hilal Bacanak was published in BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies. The study investigated the phytochemical characteristics as well as the anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activities of Plantago major subsp. intermedia. The findings provided important insights into the therapeutic potential of this species.
