Course Exemption and Adaptation Applications for Lateral Transfer Students

To the attention of students who have completed their registration to Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University programs via lateral transfer (internal, inter-institutional, or based on central placement score):

The principles regarding course exemption and adaptation applications for the upcoming academic period are outlined below:

1. Application Period

Pursuant to the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Training and Exam Regulation and the Directive on Exemption and Adaptation Procedures; students requesting course exemptions must submit their applications by the end of the second week from the start of classes in the relevant academic year/semester.

In accordance with the relevant regulations, exemption requests submitted after this deadline will strictly not be accepted.

2. Application Place

Applications must be submitted with a petition and the required supporting documents to the relevant Dean's Office in which the student is registered.

3. Required Documents for Application

Exemption and Adaptation Application Petition: Students must clearly state in their petition which course(s) they have previously taken and successfully completed, and which equivalent course(s) in their current curriculum they wish to be exempted from.

Official Transcript (Grade Report): An official/certified transcript from the previously attended higher education institution.

Approved Course Contents (Syllabi): Certified documents showing the detailed contents/syllabi of the courses successfully completed at the previous institution.

⚠️ Important Reminders

Course Attendance Obligation: Students are required to continue attending the courses they have requested exemption from until their exemption request is officially finalized and approved by the relevant administrative board.

No Registration for Grade Improvement: Students whose exemption requests for any course are accepted cannot register for the same course again in the future for the purpose of improving/raising their grades.

Internship Exemption: For students transferring to the Faculty of Pharmacy, internships successfully completed at their previous institution may be counted toward their compulsory internship days, subject to evaluation and approval by the Staj Commission.
