Two patent applications developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seçil ERDEN TAYHAN, a faculty member of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, have been approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT).
These approvals represent a significant achievement for our university and faculty, highlighting the value of our academic research and development activities in the fields of health and pharmaceuticals. The patented studies focus on the development of innovative molecules with potential applications in cancer treatment and the treatment of tuberculosis, an important global public health concern.
A Novel Molecule for Cancer Treatment The study entitled “A Fluorobenzyl Cyclotetraphosphazene for the Treatment of MCF-7 Breast Cancer, PC3 Prostate Cancer, and HT29 Colon Cancer” focuses on the development of an innovative compound with potential therapeutic effects against different types of cancer.
A Drug Molecule for Tuberculosis Treatment The study entitled “A Drug Molecule That Can Be Used in the Treatment of Tuberculosis” concerns the development of a new active molecule with potential use in the treatment of tuberculosis.
